Inquiry into food properties










Throughout the term, our inquiry learning has been all about food properties.  The last couple of weeks we have been discussing protein and starches inside some of food we eat.  We are also learning the different states of food, Solids, Liquids and Gases and how heat affects the properties of food.  We always look forward to Friday's as this is our cooking day and we get to experiment with different food properties.  The next couple of weeks we will spend some time looking at fats and oils.  Here are a few photos of when we were conducting an experiment using protein (egg),with the microwave, stove with water and stove with oil as the heat source.
